Karnataka registers 167 fresh Covid-19 cases

Prime News, Karnataka, Health, Disease, Vaccine, Bengaluru, May 23:- Karnataka registered 167 fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday (May 22) and no deaths related to the virus were recorded.

The active cases in the State stands at 1,721, according to a bulletin released by the state Health DepartmentBengaluru Urban district‘s single-day tally is at161.

No fatalities related to the coronavirus were reported in the State on Sunday. The death toll in the State remained static at 40,064.

The state recorded 101 discharges from hospitals on Sunday, taking the total discharges to 39,08,718. Karnataka has seen 39,50,545 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

 

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.09 percent while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.00 percent. As many as 10,78,23,063 people were inoculated with anti-Covid vaccine doses as of 9 pm Sunday. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
