Mysuru, April 26:- Karnataka Senapade activists staged a protest near District Law Court on Thursday, opposing high donation and teaching fees in private schools.
“Private schools are fleecing parents in the name of donation. As poor parents are finding it tough to pay heavy donations, their children are unable to get a good education,” the protesters alleged.
“According to government rules, the availability of seats should be put on the notice board. The schools are also not issuing proper receipts to the parents. They are collecting fees even before the results are announced. Though we have held several protests, no action has been taken so far. The district administration should call for a meeting to stop this donation menace. Schools should be instructed to give proper receipts. If schools fail to do so, their licence should be cancelled,” the protesters added.
