Mysuru, June 09:- Members of Mysore Kannada Vedike handed over a request letter, urging the authorities to prevent food adulteration in the district.
Vedike members submitted the request letter to the Public health, education and social justice standing committee president Mahadevappa, urging him to prevent food adulteration in the district. Members in their letter stated that “Food adulteration has been greatly increasing day by day. The Mysuru City Corporation, which is aiming to make the city plastic-free, is now facing a new threat. Cases of food adulteration, samples of ‘plastic rice’, ‘plastic eggs’ are getting reported from neighboring districts. In this regard, the authorities must keep an eye and prevent the entry of these items into the district.”
Mahadevappa assured to look into the matter seriously. Vedike members Bannur K Raju, Ravi, Guru, Radhakrishna and others were present.
