Mysuru, September 11:- “It is tough to understand how children are attracted by dangerous games like Blue Whale. Children should be involved in games like chess which keeps their mind and brain active,” said Grandmaster Tej Kumar here on Saturday.
He was speaking after being felicitated by H V Rajeev Sneha Balaga and Karnataka Chess Association.
“Chess is growing in popularity. Earlier, 3-4 tournaments used to be held every year. Now, chess tournaments are held right through the year. We should help children develop interest in chess,” he said while adding that he was happy to be feted in the city that he likes most.
