Mysuru, May 2:- “The communal Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is posing a serious threat to the Constitution of India and the democracy,” said Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Wednesday.
“The people of the country, especially the youths should understand this danger. Communal powers should be kept away from power. Modi has not given any solution to the problems such as farmers’ suicide, atrocities on Dalits and unemployment. He has taken back a lot of subsidies from household industries. If Modi can give an interview to the London media, why is he staying away from the media in India? His thought process is only at altering the Constitution of India. The Siddaramaiah government might not have developed the state to a great extent, but Modi is leading the nation on a dangerous path. People of the nation will not vote for the BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections,” Mevani opined.
“How did Modi allow Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi and Lalit Modi to escape from India? Why have the youths of Karnataka remained silent after Modi failing to deliver jobs that he had promised? I don’t ask Dalits to vote for a particular party, but I ask them not to vote for BJP,” he said.
