KPSC selection process row: HC breather to KSOU graduates

The High Court interim order has brought back smiles on the faces of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) graduates as the fresh order makes them eligible in Karnataka State Public Service Commission (KPSC) selection process.

Making its stand very clear that KSOU graduates’ who passed out before 2013 were not eligible to appear or take part in the examinations and interview for first division clerk posts. The University Grants Commission (UGC) had de-recognised KSOU.

KSOU had filed a petition in the High Court seeking review of the KPSC order and subsequently in its interim judgement the High Court Judge S.Abdul Nazeer favoured the aggrieved graduates’ of KSOU who were at the receiving end due to the de-recognisation of the open university by UGC, who now can ‘heave a sigh relief.

The KSOU Vice chancellor Prof. D Shivalingaiah has expressed his happiness over the HC decision which has cleared all the confusion that prevailed over the issue.
