KR Hospital needs permanent Medical Superintendent: SM Prasad

Mysuru, February 12:- “The popular government K R Hospital in Mysuru needs a permanent Medical Superintendent who has enough experience,” said the founder of Rashtriya Manava Hakku Mattu Mahiti Hakku Seva Samiti, S M Prasad at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Sunday.

“After Dr B G Sagar, no permanent Medical Superintendent has been appointed for the hospital. Now Dr Chandrashekhar, who is not experienced has been appointed as the Medical Superintendent. Even after two years, no superintendent has been appointed.  The Medical Education Department says it has instructed the dean of Mysuru Medical College to run the show.  The staff of medical college has also written to Medical Secretary saying they find it difficult to work with a junior as superintendent,” he said.

“Even after two visits of the officials of Medical Science Institute New Delhi, continuing Dr Chandrashekhar as the Superintendent is against the rules. We have complained to Medical Education Minister Dr Sharana Prakash Patil in vain,” he added.
