Mysuru: Heritage city’s renowned Bharatanatyam exponent Kripa Phadke has been invited as a resource person at Centre for Cultural Resource And Training(CCRT) in New Delhi to direct a dance-drama at the ’39th National Cultural Camp-cum-Festival’ to be held in collaboration with Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti. The programme is slated for September 22 to October 4. The theme of the event is ‘value creation for diversity as an expression of unity’.
The festival also aims at creating an awareness about Mahatma Gandhi’s teachings to mobilize youth power for the nation’s growth, to understand the relevance of Bapu’s universal ideas in India & world of 21st century, to motivate the youth for learning valuable lessons from Gandhiji’s life and act as an agent for social transformation
The festival consists of the following activities:
Practical Classes for Group Productions/Presentations/Exhibitions with eminent Experts daily from 9.00 AM to 3.30 PM.
Group activities on Shramdaan, spinning, yoga, theatre and comic workshop daily from 03.30 PM to 05.00 PM in different groups.
Solo performances by the young budding scholar-artists daily from 5.30 PM to 8.00 PM.
Educational visits to the places of historical and cultural importance related with Gandhiji’s life in and around Delhi to sensitize and understand the relevance of Mahatma Gandhi’s teaching in the contemporary world on October 4. (MR, Inputs: Agencies).
