KSOU felicitates Covid-19 Warriors in Mysuru

Mysuru, May 12:- Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) felicitated Covid-19 Warriors who have been fighting against coronavirus pandemic in the district. Doctors and medical staff who have been treating coronavirus patients were felicitated at the KSOU Guest House here on Tuesday.

Doctors who treated patients and who are now under quarantine at KSOU Guest House, Dr Puneeth, Dr Vinod, Dr Anoop, Dr Pradeep, Dr Abhinay, Dr Arun, Dr Siddhartha Gowder, Dr Sneha, Dr Ganesh, Dr Amritha, Dr Jaleel, Dr Nishanth, Dr Bharat and Dr Rajeshwari were felicitated.

Nurses Pushpa, Rekha, Sachitha, Sharada, Puttamani, Vasanthi, Shanthi, Shobha, Asantha Mary, Vishalakshi, Bhanurekha, Anitha, Shwetha, Savitha, Sumathi, Umesh, Maniraju, Vasanth Kumar and Sai Ram were felicitated.

Vice-Chancellor of KSOU Prof S Vidyashankar said that the university has felicitated the medical staff who are working tirelessly in treating coronavirus patients.

“If we were on duty for a week, we have to be quarantined for 2 weeks. Our batch was on duty for 3 weeks. Now only 4 coronavirus positive cases are being treated in the district. Fortunately, no patient has lost his life in the district. This is happy news. We are always committed to serve people,” said Dr Puneeth.

Director of Mysore Medical College and Research Centre Dr C P Nanjaraj, principal Dr Dakshayini, dean of KR Hospital Dr Nanjundaswamy, Dr Shashidhar, Dr K T Chandrashekar, Dr Rajesh, Dr Raghuveer and others were present. (MR/HN)
