KSOU irregularities: Ex-MLC Go Madhusudan demands CBI probe

Mysuru, December 23:- Former member of state legislative council Go Madhusudan has urged the state government to hand over the investigation of the irregularities in Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Speaking at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Monday, he said that KSOU corruption case is huge and said he has already written to the Chief Minister seeking CBI probe.

“As per the directions of the High Court and the recommendation of Bhaktavathsalam Committee, the present vice-chancellor of KSOU has filed a police complaint. FIR has been registered against 3 vice-chancellors. Prof KS Rangappa has misused the letterhead of the Indian Science Congress. High Court has not given any direction over writ petition. Prof Rangappa is trying to fool people saying the court has instructed media to not make negative news about him,” he added.

“Let him come free of corruption charges first. Then let him file defamation case against me. His corruption is beyond the boundaries of India. That’s why I am demanding CBI probe. Prosecution should make sure that he doesn’t get bail. He should be jailed for corruption. How right it is for Janata Dal (Secular) to give him a ticket to contest the election? When JD(S) was in power it made B report in the case of Prof Rangappa. He has not done anything worth praising being a relative of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. Deve Gowda should not protect Prof Rangappa,” he said. (MR/KS)
