KSOU marks card scam; Dr KJ Suresh suspended

Mysuru, March 21:- Governor of Karnataka, Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, has suspended former vice-chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) over marks card scam.

It is alleged Prof Suresh too was part of the scam which led to a loss of Rs 6.30 crore for the KSOU. He was also responsible for the university losing its University Grants Commission (UGC) funds.

The Governor has suspended Suresh with effect from March 18. Prof Suresh is presently working as a professor of Political Studies. (MR/KS)
