Mysuru, October 30:- With Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) getting University Grants Commission (UGC) accreditation some time back, there seems to be a good response as many students are making a beeline for the available courses.
The university now offers 29 courses, for which 12,000 students have already enrolled.
According to sources, the KSOU is on its recovery path. Mysuru centre of the university has received the highest number of applications, 5000 to be precise.
Around 3,128 candidates have applied for BA course, 1,607 for MCom course, 1,339 candidates for Kannada MA, 1,044 candidates have applied for History, 775 for English MA, 140 for Journalism, 692 for Political Science and 552 for BCom. (MR/KS).
