K’taka to spend Rs 11,797 crore for Bengaluru Development

Prime News, State, (Bengaluru), January 31:-Karnataka Government is to take up development works in the State Capital of Bengaluru by earmarking Rs 11,797 Crore by 2019-20, Bengaluru Development Minister K J George said on Tuesday.

The Minister discussed various new schemes to be taken up by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) involving an amount of Rs 3602 crore.

The new schemes, among others, included Rs 1000 Crore for white topping of 150 km of roads, Rs 200 Crore for Lake Development, Rs 400 Crore for grade separators, Rs 672 Crore for Storm Water Development and rain damages and Rs 200 Crore for six multi-storeyed car parking in various places across the city.

It was also discussed to ensure earmarking of Rs 5066 Crore for ongoing projects.

There was a need for total earmarking of Rs 7804 Crore for 2018-19 and Rs 3993 Crore for 2019-20.
