Mysuru, February 19:- The Department of Industrial Training and Employment, Skill Development Department, Labour Department and Mysuru district are jointly organising job mela at the Dasara Exhibition Ground, opposite Mysuru Palace. State Labour Minister Shivaram Hebbar inaugurated the initiative here on Friday (February 19).
Talking on the occasion, BJP MLA of Krishna Raja Constituency S A Ramadass said, “Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the whole world has been thrown out of gear and many people have lost their jobs. This job mela will help them find new jobs. Around 150 companies are taking in the mela and hopefully, it should be helpful for aspirants.”
MLA Dr Yathindra Siddaramaiah, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) chairman H V Rajeev, Karnataka Exhibition Authority chairman Hemanth Kumar Gowda and others were present.
Software giants Excel Soft, Theorem, major industries BEML, J K Tyres, Rane Madras, Durga Solution, Grassroots, Aditya Birla, Cauvery Multispeciality Hospital, Nestle, Jubilant, United Breweries, Asian Paints, Ranga Rao and Sons, ABB India Limited, VKC, Bacardi, ITC, RTF, IDC Solution and GSS have come forward to offer jobs.
Graduates, post-graduates, diploma holders, JOC, engineering graduates, MTech, MBA and others are expected to take part in the job mela. (MR/KS)
