Labour organisations stage protest in Mysuru

Mysuru, March 30:- Labour organisations continue to protest seeking fulfillment of various demands. Hundreds of workers led by AICCTU, AITUC, INTUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC and other organisations staged a protest against the central government policies affecting workers, farmers, and people in Mysuru and across the country.

Their demands included strengthening public sector banks, increase in bank deposit interest rates, not burdening customers with high service costs, scrapping Labour Codes, no privatisation in any form, reinstating DA pension scheme, full stop to outsourcing, scrapping of National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP), increased allocation of wages under MNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Act) and regularisation of contract workers.
