Mysuru, June 19:- Mysuru District Congress Committee has alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is sacrificing the Land Reforms Act to protect their government in the state.
“The amendment is proposed in order to give new licence to dissatisfied BJP MLAs and investors of ‘Operation Kamala.’ Congress government had introduced the Land Reforms Act for social equality. D Devaraja Urs took the decision of protecting the agricultural land. This amendment is to calm down the misunderstanding within BJP and satisfy dissatisfied MLAs and leaders of BJP. The state government should immediately drop this amendment. Or else we will stage ‘jail bharo’ movement to be led by former chief minister Siddaramaiah,” said District Congress president Dr B J Vijay Kumar at a press meet held at Mysuru Congress office on JLB Road in the city on Friday (June 19).
