Law and order under control in state; Gauri murder probe progressing: Ramalinga Reddy

Mysuru, October 13:- “The law and order is under total control in Karnataka. There were several minor incidents in Dakshina Kannada, which is now resolved. Peace prevails in all the districts,” said Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy.

He was speaking at a press meet held at the office of the Superintendent of Police in the city on Thursday.

“We are concentrating on tightening security at the cities having higher population. It’s been one month and 10 days since I assumed the office. I have attended meetings in six regions and four police commissionerate,” he said.

“The investigation of Gauri Lankesh murder is under progress. We have provided SIT (Special Investigation Team) with hundreds of officials. We will nab the murderers. We can’t say when the investigation will be over. We can’t reveal the investigation details to the media as of now. Kempaiah is still the advisor to Home Department. I will seek suggestions from him and from media if the need arises,” the minister added.
