Mysuru, October 31:- Belaku organisation of Mysuru distributed a book named ‘Learn Kannada in an hour’ to foreign visitors on the eve of Kannada Rajyotsava here on Tuesday.
Deputy Director of Kannada and Culture Department, H Chennappa inaugurated the week-long event by distributing books to visitors at Varaha gate of Mysuru palace. Members of Belaku organisation will be distributing books to visitors at various tourist spots.
“Kannada Rajyothsava makes us proud. Kannada has given us a character. Kannadigas are role models for the others in terms of feelings, behavior and tolerance. No Kannadiga should neglect his mother tongue,” Chennappa said.
K M Nishanth of Belaku organisation spoke about the initiative.
Dhanush, Vinay, Akshay, Subhash, Deepak, Praveen, Ravi Ganesh, Sumukh and others were present. (MR/HN).
