Legal action against misbehaviour during Holi: CoP Dr AS Rao

Mysuru, March 1:- Commissioner of Police Dr A Subrahmanyeshwara Rao has warned against any misbehaviour during Holi festival in the city.

“Collecting money forcibly from the public is an offence. If anyone is found doing that, they will be punished according to IPC Section 384. No one is supposed to colour women and the people forcibly. No permission is given to enter girls’ hostel and hostels of working women. For Kamadahan, the place should be selected in such a way that it doesn’t affect public and vehicle transportation. Wood and other flammable products should not be collected forcibly from the public. Permission should be taken from CESCom prior to getting electricity for Kamadahan. Microphones are allowed only between 6 pm and 10 pm. Only box shaped sound boxes are allowed. Songs with vulgar lyrics is not allowed to be played. It is the responsibility of the organisers to hold the event peacefully. Slogan shouting that would hurt the sentiments of other religions is prohibited.
