Leopard trapped in cage at Someshwarapura

Mysuru, November 7:- A leopard was caught in a cage installed at a farm of one Hotte Basappa of Someshwarapura in Mysuru district on Thursday early morning.

The leopard had been freely roaming around the village for the past 15 days. The officials of the Forest Department had set up the cage to capture the animal. The leopard was trapped in the cage at 6:30 am today.

The Forest Department officials are expected to visit the village and relocate the animal. Villagers heaved a sigh of relief following the capture of the leopard. (KS, NGB)
