Let CBI investigate Vishwanath’s phone-tapping allegations: MLA Tanveer Sait

Nada Habba 'Dasara' should be observed with fervour, says Sait

Mysuru, August 16:- Narsimharaja Constituency MLA Tanveer Sait has hit back at the disqualified MLA AH Vishwanath who alleged that the previous Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government was involved in telephone-tapping. He was speaking to media persons in the city on Thursday.

“Our government didn’t do any phone-tapping. If the allegations made by Vishwanath are true, let there be a probe conducted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Telephone tapping is allowed at government level for the safety and security of the state. If Vishwanath’s allegations are true, let there be a CBI probe,” he added.

“I oppose any decision to observe simple Dasara. If the festival is observed in a simple way, it will adversely affect tourism. Instead of simple Dasara, it should be observed with fervour. We go to God during difficult times. People of the state are suffering due to floods. If we observe Dasara in a simple way, it is disrespecting Goddess Chamundeshwari. We have to worship the Goddess to solve the problems of the state. For that, the Nada Habba should be held with fervour,” the MLA said. (MR/KS)
