Mysuru, November 19:- “Life skills complement the lives of students. They have to cultivate life skills in the student’s life itself,” said the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore, Prof G Hemanth Kumar.
He was speaking after inaugurating a workshop on skills of future at Sarada Vilas College in the city on Monday.
“Life skills are essential for everyone. Students have to take part in workshops on life skills and job creations. It also complements their education. Today, machinery is performing the works in one hour for which human beings would take 10 days,” he said.
“Our college is starting new courses from the academic year 2020-21. It includes BSc in data science and artificial intelligence, MBA in pharmaceutical clinical management, BVoc, bachelor of software development and other courses which will help students to get jobs while studying itself,” said the president of the institution, BS Parthasarathy.
Secretary HK Srinath, Harsha Kikkeri, Arjun Khanna, Sridevi, Dinesh Kumar, MB Dongre and others were present. (MR/SH)
