‘Lightning enumeration’ for voters brings in 6.45 lakh votes in Karnataka before May 12 polls

Political News, State, (Bengaluru), April 10:-The Chief Electoral Officer in Karnataka Sanjiv Kumar on Monday said that the ‘Lightning enumeration’ of latest voters in the State who did not find their names in Voters List due to various reasons received big response with over 6.5 lakh voters added to the Voters’ List.

Speaking to reporters, the CEO said the final phase of enumeration of voters, who were left out due to reasons can still enumerate themselves till April 14 after providing necessary documents to be eligible for May 12 elections.

”Only after all those votes who file their applications in Karnataka till April 14 deadline, the final voters’ list will not be prepared.

We appeal to all eligible voters to enrol themselves by that date,” he said.
