Free health and eye check-up camp held for advocates in Mysuru

Mysuru, August 23:- Mysuru Bar Association, Lions Club of Mysuru, Lions Club of Parisara and Mysuru District Notary Association, Narayana Multi-Specialty Hospital, Netradhama Super-Specialty Eye Hospital jointly organised free health and eye check-up camp for advocates at the Mysuru Bar Association premises here on Thursday.

Principal District and Sessions Court Judge S K Vantigodi inaugurated the camp.

“There are 42 Lions organisations in Mysuru. Lions Club is known for its discipline. It is a welcome move to arrange a health camp for the advocates who are always busy with the cases and works. They don’t give so much importance to their health. They have to make use of this camp,” he said.

“Six crore people have got help from the free eye check-up camp of Lions Club which started the concept of free health check-up camp. The organisation today has 15 lakh members. Lions Club conducts 80% of the eye check-up camps in the world,” said Lions’ district governor Dr V Nagaraj Bhairy.

Mysuru Bar Association president Anand Kumar, vice president Shivanne Gowda, secretary Shivanna, Lion Jayaram, Dr Asha, Dr Pavan, Dr Sriram and others were present. (MR/GK)
