Health and Family Welfare Minister S Ramesh Kumar has defended the state government’s decision to give individual loans in the wake of by-poll in Nanjangud Assembly constituency.
Speaking at the condolence meeting of Minister H S Mahadeva Prasad, he said “Giving loans to the poor is not a crime; it’s done to help the poor. Srinivas Prasad who quit Congress must explain which ideology of Congress was not acceptable to him to take the decision to quit Congress, he is blaming the state government for giving loans to the farmers, if giving loans is bribing then what did Prasad do by joining the BJP.”
“Veteran politicians must always be role models to the younger generations instead of taking a hasty decision for personal reasons,” he added.
District In-charge minister and PWD Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa, MP Dhurvanarayan and others were present.
