Mysuru, October 16:- A meeting of the Mysuru City and Rural District Congress Committee was held on Wednesday on according a grand welcome to former chief minister Siddaramaiah who is visiting the city for the first time after becoming the opposition party leader.
The meeting was held at the Congress office on JLB Road in the city. Leaders of the party of the district were present at the meeting. The meeting decided to accord a grand welcome to Siddaramaiah on October 19.
The meeting also decided to hold a bike rally and procession to welcome the opposition party leader. The leaders have decided to gather at least 10,000 people for the event. Leaders are prepared to have bike rally, folk teams and open jeep to welcome Siddaramaiah.
Former MLAs MK Somashekar, Vasu, former minister CH Vijayashankar, Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, Marigowda and others were present. (MR/KS)
