Locked up the office to safeguard the documents: Prof Mane

Mysuru, May 30:- “I have written a letter to the governor regarding the irregularities in appointment of 120 employees. As it is our responsibility to safeguard the documents, I have locked up the office of deputy registrar,” said incharge Vice Chancellor Prof Dayananda Mane.

Speaking to the media, he said, “The governor has directed for an investigation on the irregularities in the appointment. Till the investigation committee arrives, it is our responsibility to protect the documents. For that purpose, the office of the deputy registrar is locked. The salary of non teaching staff has not been in hold. Even after my direction, the registrar has not released the fund of Rs 1.25 crore. Registrar is not following any of my orders. Many have ego in the university, which causes these problems,” he added. (RV)
