Mysuru, June 2:-It appears that no respite for common man, who was sulking after the recent steep hike in fuel prices, now has to pay a hefty price for Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder in Mysuru effective from June 1.
The price of domestic subsidised cylinder has been increased by Rs 49 and the price of commercial non-subsidised cylinder has been increased by Rs 80 in Mysuru.
Subsidised domestic LPG cylinder weighing 14.2 kgs now will cost Mysureans Rs 701.50 compared to earlier price of 652.50 an effective increase of Rs 49. Non-subsidised commercial LPG cylinder with a big hike now cost Rs 1267, the same earlier priced at Rs 1187.
Every household in India is entitled to 12 LPG cylinders per year at a subsidised rate. However, LPG cylinders bought beyond the prescribed number has to be purchased at market prices which are known as non-subsidised LPG rates.
The newly introduced 5 kg subsidised cylinder price is at Rs 180.50 and Rs 256.50 for non subsidized price.
