An LPG safety workshop for commercial customers was held at Hotel Owners’ Association premises on Tuesday.
Hotel Owners’ Association, Hotel Owners Association Charitable Trust, Siddhartha Gas Agency had jointly organised a workshop on usage and safety precautions for commercial LPG customers.
President of Hotel Owners’ Association Narayanagowda and Mangaluru territory manager of Bharat Gas Dinakar L Thonse inaugurated the programme. Addressing the gathering Dinakar said: “Generally petroleum liquid fuels emit 15-30% less carbon dioxide than coal per watt of energy produced. LPG doesn’t leave any residue of smoke which makes LPG the most environmental friendly fuel. LPG an efficient fuel for the kitchen, has certain characteristics and if not handled efficiently, it may pose a safety threat to the users, he said.
Later application of LPG and other gas systems were explained. A training and installation and safety precautions on using LPG were also described.
Deputy Manager, Sales unit Bharat Gas, Mahendra Dongre, Secretary of Hotel Owners Association Ravindra Bhat, secretary of Hotel Owners Charitable Trust Subramanya Tantri, proprietor of Siddhartha Gas Dinesh and others were present.
