LS polls nothing to do with terrorism: BJP national VP Avinash Rai Khanna

Mysuru, February 21:- “Lok Sabha elections and terrorism can’t be linked. Terrorism should be dealt at a different level,” said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national vice president Avinash Rai Khanna at a press meet held at a private hotel in the city on Thursday.

“Terror organisations should be destroyed. There is no politics in this matter. India needs a strong and stable government. People will vote Narendra Modi-led BJP to power again. If ‘Mahaghatbandhan’ comes to power, there will be a change of Prime Minister every other day. Earlier,  there was no discussion on scams in New Delhi. Now, scams are being discussed. Prime Minister Modi has introduced several schemes for the development of the nation. Swachh Bharat, Ujjwala Scheme, Ayushman Bharat and other schemes have been introduced. Now, women get LPG cylinders at their doorstep. People will elect Modi again in 2019,” he added.

“There has been no decision on giving tickets to the sitting MPs. Ticket distribution will be a transparent process. We will collect public opinion and give tickets based on development works. Some private surveys might have failed, but we have proper information about surveys. We have reached grassroots with our good governance and booth level activities. Even small children are attracted by Swachh Bharat scheme and don’t let elders throw garbage indiscreetly,” Khanna said.

BJP city president Dr Manjunath BH, Mangaluru north MLA Bharat Shetty, state spokesperson of BJP Go Madhusudana, former MLC Thontadarya, Phaneesh, media in-charge Prabhakar Shindhe, secretary H V Rajeev, Satish, Nagaraj Malladi and others were present. (MR/KS).
