LS polls: Raitha Sangha to contest from 15 constituencies

Mysuru, February 22:- “Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) will contest 2019 Lok Sabha elections with understanding with like-minded parties,” said its state president G A Lakshminarayana at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Thursday.

“We will take a decision after discussing with parties like Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD). State committee will meet on February 26 at Haveri. Farmers fraternity has to be strengthened. A meeting will be held with leaders like Pache Nanjundaswamy, Chukki Nanjundaswamy, Darshan Puttannaiah and others,” he said.

Responding to confusion over the president’s post, he said that he has been appointed by the farmers of 22 districts and is involved in farmers activities for many years. He warned that those who create confusions will be suspended.

District president Vidyashankar, K G Shivaprasad, Immavu Raghu, G Puttannaiah and others were present. (MR/KMR).
