Mysuru, March 8:- Sumalatha Ambareesh, who is getting ready for the Lok Sabha elections, is visiting famous temples in the city. She visited Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hills on Friday morning and offered special prayers.
“I have not met anyone regarding the ticket. I am stepping into politics now and keeping every step planned. I can’t control what is going on in social media. Words hurting others should not be spoken. Today is International Women’s Day. There is nothing in the world beyond a mother. No words that hurt a mother should be discussed on social media. There is a mother who also gets hurt. I see my son in place of Nikhil. How much I get hurt if someone scolds my son, the same thing happens when someone scolds Nikhil,” she said.
“People of Mandya are treating me like their daughter. I have not met everyone keeping election in mind. I am happy that people are voluntarily supporting me. I got peace of mind by visiting Chamundi Hills. I have been coming here since my childhood,” she added.
She is also expected to visit the famous Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple. After touring Mandya district, Sumalatha is staying in Mysuru at a private hotel of a Janata Dal (Secular) MLC. (MR/KS).
