Aam Admi Party District Secretary Malavika urged the state government to appeal to the Supreme Court as it has failed in presenting its augment in connection to Mahadayi agitation.
Addressing a press conference on Friday she said that the tussle between the state and centre has failed to quench the thirst of people of North Karnataka. The desperate voice of the people has not reached the wars of 28 MPs and 224 MLAs. In Septermeber 2015 AAP members visited the belt of Malaprabha and Mahadevi rivers and took stock of the situation. A high power committee comprised of experts had presented the report for augment to the court. But the state has not considered this this failed to present the augment.
Further she said that this shows the irresponsibility of the CM and apathy of PM Narendra Modi towards the state. The state has failed to draw attention of Centre and Modi has kept quite as he is in favour of Goa keeping in view of next elections. Hence the state should appeal to Supreme Court to help the poor farmers.
AAP Honorary Secretary Namel Ram Negi, convenors Prakash, Marigowda were present.
