Mahadevappa chairs meeting on dengue

Mysuru, June 21:- District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa chaired a meeting on dengue at government guest house, Nazarbad on Wednesday. “Epidemics are seasonal and spread according to season and weather. Dengue fever is on the rise in Mysuru, though we can’t consider all types of fever as dengue. People feel downmarket areas are prone to epidemics. Strangely, posh areas like Saraswatipuram, Kuvempunagar and Hebbal have seen more dengue cases,” said Dr Chidambar.

Dr Mahadevappa discussed possible measures that can be taken to control spread of dengue.

DC D Randeep, Mayor M J Ravi Kumar, MCC Commissioner G Jagadish and Dr Nagaraj and others were present. (MR/KS).
