Brushing aside the rumours of his son Sunil Bose being the aspirant for Nanjangudu Assembly seat in the ensuing by-poll election, father Dr H C Mahadevappa, who is the District In-charge Minister of Mysuru, told media persons on Monday that neither his son had shown interest in contesting election nor had he recommended his name.
The minister said that neither his son nor he himself will contest from Nanjangudu. “The Congress high command will take the decision on selection of suitable candidate to contest the election after consulting the local leaders. So far, no candidate has been finalised.” He, however, said that there are many aspirants for the seat.
Asked to comment on rumours that the Congress was eying at offering the ticket to the JD(S) leader Keshav Murthy after taking him into its fold, Dr Mahadeppa ruled out the possibility of approaching any leaders outside the party.
