‘Mahaparinirvan Diwas’ observed at BJP office 

Prime News, National, Constitution, Democracy, Mysuru, December 6:- The ‘Mahaparinirvan Diwas’ (death anniversary) of Dr B R Ambedkar was held at the office of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here on Monday (December 6).

District In-charge Minister S T Somashekar offered floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr.Ambedkar’s portrait.

Speaking on the occasion, Somashekar said, “My salutations to the great humanist and the architect of Indian Constitution, Dr. Ambedkar.”

He added “We must learn the importance of philosophy, ideals and principles of the great leader who fought for social equality and move on the path laid down by him. Today, we must commemorate his contributions to our country and people.”

BJP state general secretary Siddaraju, district president Srivatsa, district general secretary Somasundar and several others were present.

Later, they also visited and paid floral tribute to Dr Ambedkar’s statue at the Srirangacharlu Memorial Town Hall in the city. (AM/SH)
