Make children to practice yoga from young age: MLA SA Ramadass

Ramadass inaugurates Yoga Dasara event at Oval Grounds in Mysuru

Mysuru, October 1:- “Children should be made to practice yoga from a young age and they should be made yoga practitioners,” said MLA SA Ramadass.

He was speaking after inaugurating Yoga Dasara event at Oval Grounds in the city on Tuesday.

“Yoga Dasara is organised to take yoga to every house. Everyone should practice yoga to be healthy. Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has decided to start yoga mandirs in the city to teach yoga. We have to make preparations to make world record in the next International Yoga Day,” he added.

“Yoga is a healthy habit. We should practice yoga for our well being. I request the public to join hands with us to make Guinness world record in yoga,” said Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath.

Achievers in yoga were felicitated on the occasion.

Zilla Panchayat president Parimala Shyam, President of Yoga Dasara subcommittee Dr Anil Thomas, vice president Raghavendra and others were present. (MR/KS)
