Mysuru, January 16:- Ministers Sa Ra Mahesh and C S Puttaraju have instructed the officials to make preparations for Tripura Sundari Temple Fair at Muguru village in T Narasipura taluk.
Speaking at a meeting held at the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office here regarding the fair, Mahesh said that the fair which began on January 10 will see a large number of devotees between January 21 and 25 and asked the officials to make all preparations for the event.
“Archaeology Department and Tourism Department are providing funds for protection during the fair, basic amenities, transportation, and puja. Archaeology Department is providing Rs 15 crore for the renovation of the temple. Rs 8.5 crore has been released already,” said Mahesh.
“The temple has good income and it has to be utilised for the development works. The chariot of the temple has to be repaired before the fair. CCTV cameras have to be installed. Drinking water, drainage, cleanliness, toilets have to be maintained during the fair. Cultural programmes by Kannada and Culture Department will be organised from January 21 to 25,” said Minister Puttaraju.
MLC Marithibbegowda, MLA Ashwin Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar, T Venkatesh, ASP P V Sneha, Tahsildar Paramesh, taluk panchayat EO Nanjesh and others were present. (MR/KS)
