Mysuru, December 21:- “Government has introduced several schemes for the benefit of people. Make proper use of those schemes,” said Principal District and Sessions Court Judge Suresh K Vantigodi.
He was speaking at Ayushman Bharat – Arogya Karnataka card distribution programme jointly organised by Health and Family Welfare Department, Medical Education Department and District Legal Services Authority at MMC&RI Platinum Jubilee Hall at JK Grounds on Sheshadri Iyer Road here on Saturday.
“People have to get their Ayushman Bharat cards. Give top priority to your health. Awareness has to be created about Ayushman Bharat scheme. It is the responsibility of the officials,” he said.
“The cards are distributed to those who enroll themselves under Ayushman Bharat scheme. These cards are called ABARK cards. It contains a unique number. Beneficiaries can attain the cards by submitting Aadhaar card or ration card. A BPL family can get free medical services up to Rs 5 lakh per year under the scheme. APL family can get the benefit up to Rs 1.5 lakh,” said nodal officer Dr Manju Prasad.
Zilla Panchayat CEO K Jyothi, medical officer Dr MS Rajesh, medical superintendent Dr BL Nanjundaswamy and others were present. (KS, NGB)
