Chartered Accountant arrested for growing, selling ganja from home garden

Mysuru, July 26:- Saraswathipuram Police on a tip off carried out a raid at a residence in Bogadi on Tuesday night, here and arrested a person allegedly cultivating ganja at his home garden. The incident came to light this morning.

The arrested is identified as K Jagannathan, a Chartered Accountant by profession. He had been growing ganja at his home garden at Bogadi 2nd stage in the city. The police have seized 5 kgs of ganja from his house.

The accused is said to have been selling ganja, a drug to college students, who are studying at a college, about 100 metres away from his house.

K R Police Station ACP Dharmappa, Inspector Nagegowda, Sub-Inspector Mohan and staff conducted the raid. They also seized dried ganja leaves from the spot.
