Man from Kasargodu commits suicide

A 24-year-old man killed himself after he felt that his attempts to get a job proved futile.

Ganesh, a resident of Kasaragodu, is the deceased. According to sources, Ganesh had come to Mysuru in search of a job and had stayed at New Santhosh lodge in Bannimantap. He had been trying to get a job but was unsuccessful despite attending several interviews. Depressed over this, on Wednesday afternoon, Ganesh came to the lodge and locked up himself. Failing to get any response from the in the morning, the room boy knocked on the door but nothing happened. Getting suspicious, hotel workers broke the door and found Ganesh hanging from the ceiling fan. Later they informed to the police.

Police, who visited the spot, are investigating the case. The body has been sent to mortuary at K R Hospital. After the post-mortem, the body will be handed over to the family.

A case has been registered at Mandi Mohalla police station.
