Mysuru, June 29:- The Second Additional District and Sessions Court on Thursday sentenced a woman, her paramour and two others in connection with the murder of woman’s husband.
The verdict was delivered by Judge Vijaykumar M Anandashetty in the case which dates back to February 2015.
It is learnt that one Geetha was allegedly in a relationship with her neighbour Biligiri prior to her marriage with Kumar, a resident of Bidaragudu. She is alleged to have continued her relationship with him even after her marriage. The husband had warned her and was unhappy about her. Geetha along with her paramour Biligiri hatched a plot to kill her husband and with the help of two others they killed Kumar.
Geetha who allegedly did not display any sorrow after the death of her husband made the family of Kumar suspect her role in the murder and accordingly the victim’s sister’s husband Basavaraj lodged a complaint and also brought the issue to the notice of Superintendent of Police.
Hearing the case, the court was convinced that Kumar’s wife Geetha was involved in the murder and gave a judgement sentencing all the four accused to life imprisonment. -KK
