Maramma Temple tragedy: Patient discharged from Suyog Hospital

Mysuru, January 23:- Director of Suyog Hospital, Dr S P Yoganna has said that a patient, Rukmini, who was admitted to Suyog Hospital after consuming poisoned food at Kichuguttu Maramma Temple at Sulwadi village Hanur taluk, Chamarajanagar,  has been discharged from the hospital after recovering fully.

Speaking at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Monday, Dr Yoganna said that she has recovered completely after treatment for 37 days and said he had never seen such a complicated case in 30 years of his service. He said that 15 patients were admitted to Suyog Hospital and Rukmini was the last one to get discharged from the hospital. He said she suffered three heart attacks during her stay but survived. He said that the hospital has given treatment to patients worth Rs 20 lakh for free and said he is hopeful of the government paying the money as promised.
