March to Bengaluru to oppose transfer of workers

Mysuru, November 12:- Workers of Innovative Technology Private Ltd took out a march to Bengaluru opposing the transfer of workers on Monday.

Around 90 workers of the company, including 18 women, have been transferred to Vikrutamala in Andhra Pradesh. The workers staged a protest, asking the management to withdraw transfers.

Artist Badal Nanjundaswamy inaugurated the march at the premises of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple here.

The protesters said that the company has no facilities at Vikrutamala and the administration has been harassing the workers. They said that the workers who were in Andhra Pradesh from September 4 to October 6 have returned back as they were given no work to do. They said that workers are on the street with no work and income from nearly five months.

They also said that they have requested District In-charge Minister G T Devegowda and the Deputy Commissioner to intervene and resolve the issue.

The workers would submit a request letter to the Chief Minister in Bengaluru on November 16. They warned of intense protest from November 16. Around 75 workers participating in the rally. (MR/HN)
