Marigowda case: Judge recuses himself

Justice Sreenivasegowda has recused himself from hearing the anticipatory bail plea of K Marigowda who is accused of threatening Mysuru Deputy Commissioner C Shikha.

On Monday, Marigowda’s counsel requested the court to allow the pleas of Marigowda since he was planning to participate in the funeral of Rakesh Sidaramaiah. However, Justice Srinivasegowda said he will direct the police to take Marigowda to the funeral if he surrenders before the police. Later in the afternoon session, Justice Gowda passed the order, recusing himself from hearing the case. The matter was placed before Justice Anand Byrareddy who will be hearing the case on Tuesday.
