Four accomplices of K Marigowda, who have been accused of intimidating Deputy Commissioner C Shikha, are expected to surrender before the court on Thursday. Their move follows the denial of bail to Marigowda by the Seventh Additional District and Sessions Court on Tuesday.
Marigowda – a close confidant of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah – who is the former president of the Mysuru Zilla Panchayat, along with his supporters allegedly intimidated the DC at the Government Guest House where Siddaramaiah had arrived to take part in the Iftaar party recently.
Sources said that Manjunath, Basavaraju, Anand, Siddaraju who have been named as Accused-2, A-3, A-4 and A-5 in the intimidation case would surrender to court by evening.
Sources said that the accused who were absconding after an arrest warrant was issued against them came back to Mysuru from Tamil Naduon Thursday morning.
Though police have started a search operation to find Marigowda, sources say that he has made all arrangements to appeal before the Karnataka High Court.
