Mysuru: In what turned out to be a one-sided affair, Marimallappa’s High School beat Manasasarovara Pushkarni Vidyasharam by eight wickets in the KSCA Tiger Cup encounter played on Thursday.
Opting to bat first on winning the toss, MPV were shot out for 81 in 23.5 overs. Abhinoam G Jacab proved to be the wrecker-in-chief. In what turned out to be a decisive spell, Jacab claimed five wickets conceding just nine run in his six overs. Mahendra Kumar gave him good support with two wickets to his credit. Swaroop Kumar(27 off 33) and Sumukh (10) were the main scorers.
Faced with an easy target for victory, Marimallappa’s had no problems whatsoever. Kaif Pasha (36* off 47 balls) and Jeevan H N (18* off 42 balls) saw the team through. Jacab was awarded Tiger of the match for his stupendous performance with the ball.

In another match, good knocks from Nishanth S (56 off 50balls) and Sheshank S (75 off 63 balls) helped Sadvidya HS down Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala by 123 runs.
Batting first, Sadvidya piled 228 for 5 in the allotted 30 overs. When Vijaya Vittala batted, it was Sheshank who tormented them with four scalps. Tejas M gave him good support with two wickets.
Sadvidya HS 228 for 5 in 30 overs (Nishanth S 56, Sheshank S 75, Rithesh 3 for 51) beat Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala 105 all out in 26 overs (Hriday V Urs 33, Achyutha 14, Nishanth S 4-22, Tejas M 2-0).
Nishanth was awarded Tiger of the match for his all-round performance.
