Masti literature has a message: Dr Y D Rajanna

Mysuru, June 6:- Arivu observed 127th birth anniversary of Kannada writer Masti Venkatesh Iyengar at Chamundipuram Government Library here on Wednesday.

District Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Dr Y D Rajanna inaugurated the programme by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Masti.

“Though Masti’s mother tongue was Tamil, Kannada was close to his heart. He was an officer in the Revenue Department. His works helped readers to build their life and were giving a message to the society. He is the 4th Kannada writer to win Jnanapeetha award,” Dr Rajanna said.
