MBA student from Kerala killed in road accident

A 23-year-old youth from Kozhikode was killed in a road accident on Sunday. The accident occurred at around 11 am at Kadakola and the youth has been identified as Mohammad Asif.

Mohammad Asif was pursuing his MBA in Calicut University in Kozhikode.

According to the police and family sources, Asif left Kozhikode at 5 am on Sunday as he wanted to see Mysuru and its tourist attractions. He came in his bullet bike (the number plate of the bike has been damaged) that bore Maharashtra registration.

As he approached Kadakola, he lost control and his vehicle rammed against the newly constructed road divider. The impact of the accident was such that Mohammad Asif was dragged along with the bike for some distance. He sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot due to bleeding.

The police said that he had the helmet but instead of wearing it, he had kept it on his lap. Family members said that Mohammad Asif liked to travel alone on his bike.

The body has been kept in the K R Mortuary and the family members are rushing to the city from Kozhikode.
