Mysuru, May 20:- The state government on Saturday asked presidents of standing committees, Opposition leader and other officials of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to return the vehicles given to them.
The president of City Planning Committee Nandish Preetham had returned his car on May 2, while saying that people’s money should not go waste. Now the government has asked concerned officials and members to return their vehicles.
Speaking to City Today, MCC Commissioner G Jagadish said, “There is no rule as to provide cars to the MCC members. Providing them cars has become a burden to the corporation and therefore, the government passed the order. It applies to all the corporations in the state and MCC would instruct concerned people to return their cars before Monday.”
